Video Projects
My film work explores how emotion, light, and sound connect people across cultures. Each piece reflects a moment, a story, or a feeling — from documentary realism to creative experimentation.
Egg Yolk Band – Music Video (2024)
A visually rhythmic music video blending performance, color, and movement to capture the playful yet grounded energy of Egg Yolk Band’s sound. I worked closely with a team of six to plan, shoot, and edit under a tight schedule — handling lighting design, shot composition, and pacing in post-production.
How to Spend A Day in Madison (2023)
"How to Spend a Day in Madison" is a collaborative short video project that showcases some of the most vibrant spots and everyday experiences in Madison, Wisconsin. I initiated the concept for the piece and guided my team through the creative direction, ensuring a consistent visual tone and storytelling style.
As part of the production process, I filmed multiple scenes across campus and the city, focusing on dynamic movement, clean framing, and natural lighting to highlight Madison’s atmosphere. I also took the lead in post-production, editing the final cut to weave together different locations and perspectives into a smooth, engaging narrative. My work included selecting music, color-correcting footage, and structuring the pacing to create a warm and inviting guide.
This project demonstrates my strengths in idea development, cinematography, team collaboration, and video editing, as well as my ability to translate everyday environments into visually appealing stories.
Dinner Table (2024)
I worked as the Director of Photography on a collaborative six-person production featuring a dramatic “Dinner Table” scene. I fully pre-visualized the sequence using the Shot Designer app, mapping out character blocking, shot composition, and camera angles to establish a consistent visual style.
On set, I operated the Blackmagic 6K camera, selecting lenses and exposure settings while coordinating with the director and gaffer to create a warm, cinematic lighting setup. My goal was to capture the emotional tension between characters while maintaining smooth visual continuity.
This project highlights my skills in cinematography, shot planning, lighting design, and on-set collaboration, and reflects my growth last year as both a visual planner and a technical DP.
